“I really get a thrill when a deal is complete, and I hear the excitement of our client..."
For Closing Coordinator Athena Torres, the world of real estate fit like a glove the moment she decided to pursue it as a career, bringing her experience and knack for customer service and public relations together in a most opportune and meaningful way. With over 15 years of real estate training, this charismatic, empathetic, and tenacious mother of twin daughters is motivated by the thrill she feels when bringing a client’s deal to completion.
“Whether it’s a seller receiving their check or a buyer receiving the keys to their dream home,” describes Athena, “I can feel that joy and it’s the most rewarding part of my job—and why I work so hard to achieve complete satisfaction for our clients who walk through the doors of the Tracy & Keely Real Estate Team.”
Having began her professional career working in the customer service department of an internationally renowned global food and beverage company—where she worked diligently for 6 years to become a much-valued member of the team—Athena learned how to effectively communicate with, attend to, and decipher what her customers wanted. For the past ten years, Athena has used these skills to communicate with all significant parties in a real estate transaction and navigate the team’s clients through the final stages of their journey. It is when Athena has the time to nurture her relationships—both professional and personal—that she feels most connected, whole, and at peace.
Following the birth of her daughters, Athena proved that reinvention is possible by transitioning from the role of “real estate assistant” to that of “closing coordinator” in order to have more time and flexibility with her schedule, affording more priceless time with her growing family. More recently, Athena continues to lead by example by committing to achieving her most personal goals. In an effort to become healthier, physically stronger, and full of energy, Athena has lost upwards of 40 lbs. in the past year and is pleased to be doing so in the company of her twin girls. A firm believer that it’s never too early to start impacting your community, Athena’s entire family spends time volunteering at The Kensington Sierra Madre, an assisted living facility.
